ECG is a painless noninvasive way of diagnosing several common heart problems of all ages. It is used to detect abnormal heart rhythm or arrhythmias, blocked or narrow arteries in the heart or coronary artery disease, and to determine previous heart attack and the treatment follow up for pacemaker and so on. The ECG test results also facilitate the diagnosis of chest pain, dizziness, heart palpations, rapid pulse, shortness of breath, weakness, fatigue, or the declining ability to exercise.

The healthy heart will show a characteristic shape in ECG test results. When there is an irregularity in the heart rhythm or damage will change the electrical activity of the heart which will change the shape of ECG reading. For effective ECG results, most of the ECG machines require flash memory storage, functional laptop to show the output, computer to run the cart, microphone for voice recording, and sound indicating speaker.

To store all these critical information of heart wave, ECG requires a high-functioning memory drive so that it can emphasize the better result without any error. The machine needs to store up to 200 ECGs within the internal flash memory. All these data will be saved as standard file formats like JPG, PDF, XML, MFER, and DCM. Later it will be exported to external USB flash drive which will turn out as ECG reading in a paper as an ECG test result.

The ECG machine uses several medical and battery-powered devices that contain multiple digital signal processing systems through the application of different voltage supply and gives support during unexpected power shut down.

The entire ECG procedure will require multiple monitoring applications with portable medical units that consist of following memory storage devices:
